by Charles Shields - Thursday, 31 January 2013, 01:49 PM

This afternoon event, organised by the Careers and Employability Centre, Disability Office and MHST, will offer advice and information to disabled students (including those with long term health conditions, dyslexia and mental health issues) who are looking to go into employment or onto a placement.  There will be an information stand, talks and workshops on subjects such as disclosure, reasonable adjustments in the workplace and Access to Work, as well as a session to help prepare for the careers fair (Spring Graduate Recruitment and Placement Fair) on the 26th February.   Employers, including KPMG, HSBC, Accenture, The Teaching Agency, along with EmployAbility are confirmed for the event. The day will end with a Q and A session and networking buffet dinner where students will be able to talk informally with employers, alumni and other expert staff.

Registration will take place at 1pm in the foyer of the Stewart Mason Building.
